Serenity is real.
Aleta met her in Maui, snorkeling in waters she will never forget. A sea turtle swam toward her and stayed—her eyes inches from Aleta’s face mask, looking at her with a stillness that felt like intention.
They stayed together for nearly ten minutes. As the turtle gazed at her, a piece of plastic trash floated between them. In that moment, Aleta heard a whisper.
